The American Royal World Series is the world’s largest BBQ competition. The competition is located in Kansas City, MO, and is called “The World Series of Barbecue.”
Over 500 teams compete and 70,000 attendees come from all over the country to try some of the best barbecue in the world.

The grand prize at this event is $300,000. Kansas City has had a long history in livestock so therefore is the home of this big competition. In 1998, The American World Series of Barbecue officially became the largest barbecue competition in the world.
